Showbiz business is one of the toughest industries to work on, when it comes to the competition there is nothing like it. People often get awestruck with the glitter and glamour of the fashion world. However, no one knows what goes behind the making of a star. Today, we are going to talk about Mridu Bala, who has made a name for herself with sheer grit and talent.

Back in 2004, Mridu Bala decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a fashion designer. She started her fashion career with a beauty expo showcasing bridal dress wear. She always wanted to make her name in the fashion industry. She used to dream about this since her childhood. However, it was 2014 when she got herself ready to enter the industry. After all, she wanted to help society by giving people a good job and making young girls empowered along the way.

On being asked about her inspiration, Mridu Bala also known as Mridu  Rai considers her husband CA Ajay Rai first inspiration followed by top names in the Indian fashion industry like Manish Malhotra, Shaymal Bhumika, and Md. Amin to name a few. Above all, her parents, Niranjan Singh (Guru ji), brothers Akashy Kaledy Okshravan ( Shravan Patil ), and Giri G (Akashy Giri) are people, who have stood by her through thick and thin.

Mridu Bala intends to start her manufacturing unit as well as her showroom. She also wishes to do all the fashion show with her brand. As of now, she has done several fashion shows and got lots of appreciation from the fans as well as top names in the industry. Few celebrities like Mahima Chaudhari, Arshifa Khan, Lucky dancer Akshay Giri, and makeup artist Amit Dhuria and Chitrlekha Sen have taken part in her shows.

  

In such a short span, Mridu has made a name. With the way, she has been working there is no telling that she is destined to reach new heights in the future. We wish her well for her upcoming projects.

Vartika Singh And Manav Chhabra Walk The Ramp For Designer Kshitij Choudhary

Renowned Fashion Designer Kshitij Choudhary launched his new collection called ‘Izmir’at the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2019. Miss Diva Universe Vartika Singh and social media sensation Manav Chhabra shahsyed down the ramp looking absolutely stunning in shades of lavender and grey.

Inspired by the Turkish carpet design techniques, ‘Izmir’ encompasses the true essence of the colourful and festive celebratory season. The designs have a perfect mix of beautiful and complex patterns and rich naturally-dyed colors. The collection has a heavy use of  darker hues, applique, tonal embellishments with fusion silhouettes. Regal and floor lenth anarkalis, voluminous sleeve cuts with embroidered jackets, and palazzos with jackets/crop tops is everything “Izmir” has to offer.

Kshitij Choudhary, speaking about the collection said, “Izmir is all about celebratory and festive patterns. The fabric used is soft and the embroideries add the much needed drama to the outfits. I’ve always been a fan of prints and hence you’ll see an inspiration drawn from Turkish carpet prints in the collection.”

Vartika Singh said, “I feel beautiful in this outfit by Kshitij Choudhary which perfectly fits my body type and the fabric feels so soft and light. I am in love with the colour palettes he has used for Izmir and with festivities around the corner, I’m definitely hoarding on his collection.”

 

Manav Chhabra who walked the ramp for the first ever time said, “Firstly i am so grateful to have got this opportunity to walk down the ramp with such an experienced team of professional models. When Kshitij approached me, i instantly said a yes because I’ve seen his collection before and I couldn’t believe I’d get to wear one and walk the ramp representing his label. I’m taking this outfit back home to celebrate Diwali with family.”

The label ‘Kshitij Choudhary’ was officially launched in Jan’2014 with a flagship store. The house of Kshitij Choudhary was started on the belief that ‘fashion originates from ethnicity’. All collections and designs are a beautiful composition of art, luxor and the vibrant culture of India.

Mrs Earth Priyanka Khurana Goyal Rules The Runway At Asian Designer Week 2018

Friday , 26th October, New Delhi – – – Asian Designer Week saw the best of designs  showcased at its autumn winter season 2018 at ITC Dwarka, New Delhi. The fashion  week saw participation by over 20 designers and was attended by the crème de la crème  of Delhi’s social glitterati.

Former Mrs Earth and Mrs India Priyanka Khurana Goyal took the stage on fire dressed  in a beautiful flowing ensemble for designer Daya Bansal of Hasrate Sassy. The theme  ‘beautiful yet empowered’ was excellently portrayed by her.  The evening was held at ITC Dwarka to celebrate the upcoming talented fashion  designers of India.

About the collection: Karpa by Hasratesassy

The collection by Hasratesassy is called Karpa, which means flock of birds in Gondi  language. It celebrates the art and culture of Gond tribe, originating from a strong  fabric of tradition, aesthetic and artistry. The collection is charming and youthful  while offering an unadulterated sophistication, a mystical charm of the old world with  the magnificent Gond art work, directly painted upon the garments. The Gond art  work, zardozi embroidery, along with aari and dabka work, all come together to offer  divine and glamourous edge to the collection effectively portrayed by the equally  glamourous showstopper.

Mumbai 11th October 2018: An epitome of heritage, culture and opulence; Baaya Design, a home decor store, and design studio hosted an event dedicated to art and wellness of the mind. To showcase the philosophy of ‘old things do not become extinct’, this boutique store organized an engaging session by Farhana Vohra- licensed Heal your Life workshop leader. Madhoo Shah- actor, Mr. Kiran Nagarkar- writer and applauded architects Zubin and Krupa amidst eager enthusiastic design lovers.

The afternoon began on a spiritual note as the esteemed guests of honor undertook the lamp-lighting ceremony. Succeeding the ceremony, Farhana Vohra introduced Shibani Jain, CEO, and Founder, Baaya Design where the latter took the opportunity to enlighten the audience about the purpose and inception of the store. She added, “My travel expeditions led me to discover the traditional art forms and the talent that is hidden in every nook and corner of India. Elaborating on the current trends in interior design, the celebrated architect Zubin said, “The biggest trend is to de-clutter a space and add elements that give a personalized essence.” Talking about incorporating designs inspired by the heritage and culture of India, Krupa expressed, “One should incorporate Indian culture to cherish it and not merely for face value.” On the joyous occasion, Shibani announced the launch of the ‘Ocean Pearl’ range which is inspired by the sea, corals and various influences from life under water.

As the event progressed, the guests awed at the fine craftsmanship and high quality of Baaya’s diverse products. From wall arts and soft furnishings to accessories and jewelry; every product at the store was a true amalgamation of traditional and contemporary elements.

To highlight the theme -‘Positive Psyche, Positive Me’, Farhana Vohra preached the audience about the art of positive living.
